- ... SAMPLE.RUN ...
-
- The purpose of this file is to allow you to get a quick look at
- what THE INTERSTATE TRAVELER can do. It is a script to follow in
- learning how the program works. A more detailed description of
- the program can be found in the MANUAL.DOC file.
-
- ... INTRODUCTION ...
-
- THE INTERSTATE TRAVELER is a graphical travel planner, designed
- to produce itineraries, expense estimates, and maps for road trips
- throughout the contiguous United States.
- Planning a trip involves specifying the desired route in a
- point-to-point manner. First, an origin city is selected, then each
- intermediate city or highway junction along the way, until the final
- destination is reached. New cities and highways can be easily added
- to the maps as the route progresses.
- Once the route of the trip has been specified, an itinerary and
- estimate of expenses can be prepared.
- The program also includes individual maps of 35 selected cities.
- These maps show major highways; features, such as lakes and rivers;
- and points of interest. Information about population and local
- climate is also provided.
- The itineraries and maps shown on the screen can be printed to
- produce a complete travel package.
-
